Danbury, CT – A new Spanish-language recruitment commercial for the Connecticut National Guard was recently filmed in Danbury, aiming to connect with the state’s Hispanic community through a powerful message of service and opportunity.

Produced by Revilla Films, the 30-second commercial centers on the life-changing educational benefits available to those who join the National Guard—most notably, free college tuition. The emotionally-driven campaign features a real CT National Guard soldier and her mother, bringing authenticity and depth to the story.

In the commercial, the soldier receives a college acceptance letter, a moment made possible through her service. The scene highlights the Guard’s commitment to supporting educational advancement, while also showcasing the pride and support of a mother standing by her daughter’s decision to serve.

“The Connecticut National Guard recognizes the importance of reaching communities in their own language and through relatable stories,” said a spokesperson for the Guard. “This campaign emphasizes both the practical and emotional impact of joining the Guard—especially the value of free education.”

The production was led by Revilla Films, a Connecticut-based company specializing in cinematic content for bilingual audiences.

“We’re proud to help tell a story that reflects the real faces and families of our community,” said Luis Revilla, executive producer and director of the commercial. “Having a real soldier and her mother on screen brought a genuine, heartfelt tone to the entire shoot.”

The commercial is now in post-production and is expected to be released to the public in the coming weeks. It will be featured across multiple platforms, including social media and Spanish-language television, as part of the Guard’s spring recruitment campaign.
